Emma Timpany was born and grew up in Dunedin, in the far south of New Zealand; she currently lives in Cornwall.

 

Her stories have won the Society of Authors’ Tom-Gallon Award, the Society of Women Writers and Journalists’ Short Story Award, the Sara Park Memorial Short Story Competition and the Solstice Shorts Festival Competition and have been published in literary magazines and anthologies in the UK, New Zealand and Australia.

 

This is her first publication.
