James McGonigal is a Glasgow-based poet, editor and biographer. He has published three pamphlet collections, as well as critical work on modernist poetry and Scottish and Irish literature. Beyond the Last Dragon: A Life of Edwin Morgan (Sandstone Press, 2010, 2012) was Scottish Research Book of the Year, and he co-edited The Midnight Letterbox, (Carcanet, 2015), a selection of Morgan's correspondence 1950-2010. Cloud Pibroch (Mariscat Press 2010) won the Michael Marks Poetry Pamphlet Award. The Camphill Wren is his first full collection.
